Description
Mr. JO Tecbond-NS is a strong and easy-to-use non sag adhesive. Moreover, it works great for tough jobs like construction and repairs. It sticks well to vertical and overhead surfaces, which makes it ideal for fixing concrete repairs, cladding, and laminating. Additionally, it resists chemicals and forms bonds that last a long time. Ultimately, it works really well on materials like stone and concrete.
- Color: White
- Pot life @25°C: 60-70 mins
- Mixing Ratio: 100:100 PBW
- Mixture consistency: Putty paste
- Optics: Opaque
- Non drip(up to 5mm) on overhead/vertical surface
- Structural strengthening
- Impregnation
- Fiber glass reinforcement
- Curves/ irregularities on substrate
- The mixture should be applied on a clean, rough and dry surface. For good results, it is required that the concrete surface is clean, rough and dry. This should be achieved by suitable mechanical and chemical means such as sandblasting. Wire brushing or chemical etching. Suitable degreasing agent should be used to remove any grease, oil or traces on the surface.
- Use Part A & Part B in ratio 100:100 PBW. Mix the two components in small batches thoroughly for at least 2 minutes.
- Apply the mix on the prepared substrate directly or using proper spatula.
- When applying glass cloth or carbon fiber, place the fiber/cloth on the surface where putty has been applied. apply an over coat to impregnate the glass cloth/carbon fiber with a spatula.
A1. MR. JO Tecbond – NS is a non-sag, two-part epoxy adhesive ideal for bonding marble, stone, synthetic wood, veneer, laminates, and metal—especially in applications that require longer working time.
Q2. How is MR. JO Tecbond – NS different from MR. JO Tecbond – NSF?A2. Both adhesives share the same non-sag, drip-free formula and surface compatibility, but MR. JO Tecbond – NS offers a longer pot life (60–70 minutes), making it ideal for projects that require more adjustment time or bonding larger panels.
Q3. Is it suitable for vertical or overhead bonding?A3. Yes, its thixotropic (non-sag) formulation makes it ideal for vertical joints, cladding, and edge bonding, where standard epoxies might drip or slump.
Q4. What is the mixing ratio and pot life?A4. Mix Part A and Part B in a 1:1 ratio by weight (100:100). Pot life is around 60–70 minutes at 25°C, giving plenty of time to align and bond parts.
Q5. Is any surface preparation needed?A5. Yes. Clean all surfaces to remove dust, grease, and release agents. Slight sanding improves adhesion on glossy surfaces like laminates or polished stone.
Q6. Can it fill small gaps or act as a leveling agent?A6. Yes. It can fill minor surface undulations (up to a few mm) while bonding, reducing the need for precision leveling before application.
Q7. How long does it take to fully cure?A7. Allow 24 hours at room temperature for complete cure. Initial grip happens within 2–4 hours depending on ambient conditions.
Q8. Can I sand or polish the adhesive after curing?A8. Yes. Once cured, it can be sanded or buffed, and even painted if required.
Q9. Is the adhesive water-resistant after curing?A9. Yes. It forms a tough, moisture-resistant bond suitable for indoor areas that may experience occasional humidity.
Q10. What safety precautions should I take while using it?A10. Use gloves and work in a ventilated area. Avoid skin and eye contact. Clean tools before the adhesive begins to set.
Q11. What happens if the adhesive remains tacky after curing time?A11. This usually results from incorrect mixing ratio or poor mixing. Always mix thoroughly in the correct 100:100 ratio until uniform.
