Description

MR. JO Bondkot – HV is a two-part, high viscosity epoxy system. It is solvent-free and easy to use. It is great for concrete bonding and structural repairs. Also, it has strong resistance to saltwater. In addition, it is perfect as a thixotropic old to new concrete bonding agent. Therefore, it works well for tough jobs.

Surface Preparation
  • The mixture should be applied on a clean, rough and dry surface.
  • This should be achieved by suitable mechanical and chemical means such as sandblasting Wire brushing or chemical etching.
  • Suitable degreasing agent should be used to remove any grease, or oil traces on the surface.
Application Method
  • Use Jpoxy Part-A & Part-B in ratio 100:40 PBW. Mix the two components in small batches thoroughly for at least 2minutes. Apply the mix directly or using proper spatula to the pretreated surfaces.
  • The joint components should be assembled as soon as the mix has been applied.
  • Allow the material to cure for at least 24 hours before putting to use.

Q1. When should I use MR. JO Bondkot-HV?

A1. When repairing vertical surfaces, overhead joints, or bridge segments where sag resistance is critical.

Q2. Can it be used as a paste mortar without fillers?

A2. Yes — it’s ready-to-use, no silica or quartz is required.

Q3. Is it pre-pigmented?

A3. Yes, it’s typically dark grey or black for visibility and finish.

Q4. How is HV different from MVC or STD?

A4. MR. JO Bondkot-HV is putty-like and doesn't run; the others are liquid systems needing sand.

Q5. Can I apply it in thick sections?

A5. Yes, apply up to 10 mm per layer without sag.

Q6. Can it fill bug holes or construction voids?

A6. Yes. Ideal for precision fills and edge profiling.

Q7. What tools should I use?

A7. Apply with a trowel, spatula, or gloved hand.

Q8. Does it bond to moist surfaces?

A8. Not recommended. Use MR. JO Bondkot-UPS if dampness is present.

Q9. Is MR. JO Bondkot-HV sandable or paintable?

A9. Yes, once cured.

Q10. Can MR. JO Bondkot-HV be used underwater or in immersion?

A10. No. It is not an underwater epoxy.

Q11. What is the pot life?

A11. ~40 minutes at 25°C.

Q12. How long before it sets?

A12. Initial set in ~2–3 hours; full cure in 24 hrs.

Q13. Can I mix pigments or fillers into MR. JO Bondkot-HV?

A13. Not needed — pre-formulated for direct use.

Q14. Is MR. JO Bondkot-HV compatible with reinforcement rods?

A14. Yes, it bonds well to steel when used as a gap filler.
