MR. JO Tecbond – BLV: Reliable Epoxy for Cost-Effective Brush Manufacturing
MR. JO Tecbond – BLV: Reliable Epoxy for Cost-Effective Brush Manufacturing
For decades, brush manufacturers have relied on epoxy systems to lock brush hair into ferrules — the core that ensures the brush doesn’t shed, warp, or loosen over time.
MR. JO Tecbond – BLV was developed to meet the needs of manufacturers who want performance similar to traditional LV, but in a more budget-friendly, scalable, and efficient way.
If you’re producing brushes in large volumes, or making cost-effective product lines where margins matter as much as strength, BLV may be your ideal choice.
🛠️ The Problem It Solves
The classic LVI system set the standard — but:
- Some markets need lower material cost
- Some operations can work with slightly higher viscosity
- There’s a need to balance quality with throughput
MR. JO Tecbond – BLV hits that sweet spot — not too low on viscosity, not too fast on cure, and just right on cost-performance ratio.
🧪 Technical Snapshot
| Property | Value |
| Color | Pale Yellow |
| Pot Life @25°C | 25–35 mins |
| Mixing Ratio (PBW) | 100:10 |
| Mixture Consistency | Low-medium viscosity (flowable) |
| Optics | Translucent |
| Cure Time | 24–48 hrs @ RT, or 2–3 hrs @ 60–70°C |
| Application | Brush hair locking in ferrules |

🧰 Typical Process
- Ferrule Prep
Load bristles into ferrule jig or holder. Ensure hair is clean and well-aligned. - Mixing Epoxy
Mix 100 parts resin with 10 parts hardener by weight. Fillers (stone powder, silica flour) can be added if needed to increase viscosity and prevent run-off in deep ferrules. - Filling/Dosing
Pour or dose into ferrule manually or semi-automatically. BLV’s viscosity provides controlled flow — reducing spillage and ensuring strong anchorage. - Curing
- Room temperature: 24–48 hrs
- Oven cure: 60–70°C for 2–3 hrs
Cured epoxy locks the hair firmly and resists solvents and wear.
Handle Assembly
Once cured, attach brush handles. Brushes can then be painted, packed, or branded as needed.

💡 When to Choose BLV over LVI
| Situation | Best Choice |
| Premium brushes, machine dosing, fast curing | LVI |
| High-volume, budget-focused production | BLV |
