MR. JO TG-H — The Long-Working, Perfect-Finish Tile Grout
MR. JO TG-H — The Long-Working, Perfect-Finish Tile Grout
When large jobs, textured tiles and tricky shading demand time — TG-H keeps you in control.
Hook — the tiler with a multi-room job
An installation crew is tiling a boutique hotel: textured large-format porcelain across multiple rooms, continuous grout lines, and exacting shade matches. The lead tiler needs time to mix exact batches, move across panels, and finish joints without the grout stiffening mid-way. He can’t afford color streaks in crevices or rushed cleanup.
The problem — why many grouts fail on real jobs
- Short pot life forces rushy application → uneven joints and visible color variation.
- Uncoated fillers can take water unevenly and leave pale or dark spots (especially in textured tiles).
- Small crevices trap loose pigment causing inconsistent colour and difficult cleanup.
- Large projects need consistent mixes over many batches — mismatched batches show.
The solution — what TG-H brings to the site
MR. JO TG-H is a three-component tile grout with a long pot life and a mix ratio 200 : 100 : 700 (Part A : Part B : filler). Its coated, binder-locked filler gives uniform colour even in textured joints and small crevices. TG-H lets you mix larger batches, move across big areas, and still get a consistent, perfect finish.
Key benefits
- Long pot life → calm, consistent application across large floors/walls.
- Coated & binder-locked filler → no colour bleeding into crevices; uniform shade.
- Wide shade range (30+) → easy matching to tile palettes.
- Convenient kits (1 kg / 5 kg) — consistent batching and fast site logistics.
- ArtSparkle compatible — add sparkle for decorative grout trenches.

Job-ready workflow (proven on site)
- Plan batches: calculate area and joint volume; decide batch size you can comfortably handle before work.
- Prepare substrate: ensure tile joints are clean, free of dust/adhesive, and properly spaced.
- Weigh & mix: 200 (A) : 100 (B) : 700 (filler) by weight. Mix A+B first, then slowly add filler to avoid lumps. Use a low-speed mixer.
- Adjust consistency: TG-H will be flowable for longer — aim for a paste that fills joints without sagging on verticals.
- Apply: push grout into joints using a rubber float at 45°; compact to remove voids.
- Clean initial set: with a damp (not wet) sponge wipe when the grout skins but is still workable. Because filler is coated, cleaning is cleaner and less pigment transfer.
- Final cure & seal: allow recommended cure time, then seal if required by project specs.
- Optional: add Mr. JO ArtSparkle during mixing for decorative effects.
Dos & Don’ts
Do:
- Do measure by weight for consistent color/batch repeatability.
- Do use TG-H for multi-room jobs or hot ambient conditions where you need time.
- Do test a small area when matching a new tile batch.
Don’t:
- Don’t add water to increase spread — use the specified ratios.
- Don’t attempt giant single batches in very hot conditions (heat accelerates cure).
- Don’t clean with abrasive tools before initial skin stage — you risk pulling pigment.

Troubleshooting
- Colour looks uneven → Ensure consistent weighing & thorough mixing; recheck filler dispersion.
- Grout pulls out on cleaning → Clean too early; wait a little longer until skinned but still workable.
- Streaks in textured tiles → TG-H’s coated filler reduces this; if it happens, check tile contamination or excessive water.
