- The mixture should be applied on a clean, rough and dry surface. This should be achieved by suitable mechanical and chemical means such as sandblasting Wire brushing or chemical etching. Suitable degreasing agent should be used to remove any grease, or oil traces on the surface.
- Use Part A & Part B in ratio 100:80 pbw. Mix the two components in small batches thoroughly for at least 2minutes. Apply the mix directly or using proper spatula to the pretreated surfaces.
- The joint components should be assembled as soon as the adhesive has been applied.
- Allow the material to cure for at least 24 hours before putting to use.
A1. MR. JO Tecbond – PSL is a general-purpose epoxy adhesive designed for bonding metals, wood, plastics, stone, ceramics, and composites. It’s ideal for
- Assembly jobs requiring more open time
- Multi-component bonding
- Fabrication, DIY, repair, and fixture work
Work in warm climates where adhesives set quickly
Q2. How is MR. JO Tecbond – PSL different from MR. JO Tecbond – PS? A2.- Both are cost-effective, general-purpose adhesives
- The difference lies in pot life (working time):
- PS has a standard pot life (~30–40 mins)
- PSL offers a longer pot life (~60–70 mins), giving users more time to work without rushing
A3. PSL is ideal for:
- Fabricators handling larger parts
- Workshops in hot regions
- Users assembling multiple components simultaneously
- Situations where a short pot life adhesive may set too quickly
- Mixing ratio: 100:80 by weight (resin : hardener)
- Pot life: ~60–70 minutes at 25°C
- Full cure: ~24 hours at room temperature
A5. It has medium viscosity and may flow slightly on vertical surfaces. For non-sag or overhead use, consider MR. JO Tecbond- X, NSF, or NS grade adhesives.
Q6. What substrates can MR. JO Tecbond-PSL bond?A6. PSL adheres well to:
- Metals (steel, aluminum)
- Wood and particle board
- Plastic, rubber, ceramics
- Concrete and stone (with surface prep)
A7. Yes. Once cured, PSL can be sanded, machined, painted, or overcoated as needed.
Q8. How resistant is MR. JO Tecbond-PSL to heat and moisture?A8. It has good moisture and moderate heat resistance (up to ~70°C), making it suitable for indoor or semi-industrial applications.
Q9. How should I store the product?A9. Store in a cool, dry place, tightly sealed. Avoid moisture and direct sunlight. Shelf life: 12 months unopened.
