Description

MR. JO TECBOND – NSF is a two-component, non-sag epoxy adhesive designed for SMC, GRP, and composite wood applications. It provides strong and durable bonding for veneers, laminates, furniture, fixtures, and structural repairs. Its solvent-free formula offers excellent resistance to water, oil, and gas, while performing effectively on vertical and overhead surfaces. Easy to apply and highly durable, it is ideal for construction and woodworking projects.

  • Color: White
  • Pot life @25°C: 45-60 mins
  • Mixing Ratio: 100:100 PBW
  • Mixture consistency: Putty paste
  • Optics: Opaque
  • Food contact safe
  • Non drip(up to 5mm) on overhead/vertical surface
  • Bonding dissimilar materials like wood to metal, wood to concrete etc.
  • Outdoor wood furnitures/fixtures
  • Lamination of composite materials
  • Bonding GRP, SMC and dissimilar substrates
  • Bolt anchoring
Surface Preparation
  • The mixture should be applied on a clean, rough and dry surface. For good results, it is required that the concrete surface is clean, rough and dry. This should be achieved by suitable mechanical and chemical means such as sandblasting. Wire brushing or chemical etching. Suitable degreasing agent should be used to remove any grease, oil or traces on the surface.
Application Method
  • Use Part A & Part B in ratio 100:100 PBW. Mix the two components in small batches thoroughly for at least 2 minutes
  • Apply the mix on the prepared substrate directly or using proper spatula.
  • Sufficient quantity of adhesive is to be applied so that bonding layer between the substrate is sufficient thick.
  • Allow at least 8 hours for good bond strength.
Q1. What is MR. JO Tecbond – NSF used for?

A1. MR. JO Tecbond – NSF is a non-sag epoxy adhesive specially designed for bonding synthetic wood, laminates, veneers, and even concrete, metal, and stone. It is ideal for interior panels, furniture, and decorative applications that require clean bonding lines and precision.

Q2. What makes this adhesive different from regular epoxy adhesives?

A2. Unlike standard epoxies that flow or drip from edges, NSF stays exactly where it's applied, reducing mess and post-application cleanup. Its non-sag formula is perfect for vertical and edge bonding.

Q3. Is this adhesive suitable for vertical bonding or edge applications?

A3. Yes, absolutely. Its paste-like, non-dripping consistency is engineered for vertical panels, furniture edges, doors, and decorative surfaces—without running off the surface.

Q4. What materials can it bond effectively?

A4. NSF bonds well with:

  • Synthetic wood (WPC, PVC foam, MDF alternatives)
  • Laminates and veneers
  • Marble, stone, granite
  • Metal, glass, and concrete Q5. How do I mix MR. JO Tecbond – NSF properly?

A5. Mix Part A and Part B in a 1:1 ratio by weight (100:100) until you get a uniform, consistent paste. Avoid whipping air into the mix.

Q6. What is the pot life (working time) of the adhesive?

A6. At 25°C, the pot life is 45–60 minutes, giving ample time to position panels or parts before initial set.

Q7. Do I need to clamp the parts after application?

A7. While clamping is not always essential, applying moderate, uniform pressure for 2–3 hours ensures maximum adhesion and alignment. Heavy parts or vertical pieces may need light support.

Q8. Can this adhesive be used for decorative or final-finish surfaces?

A8. Yes. Because it does not drip or spread beyond application, it’s ideal for clean edge joints and visible finishes. Minimal sanding or cleanup required.

Q9. How long does it take to fully cure?

A9. While initial bonding occurs in a few hours, allow 24 hours for full cure under normal room temperature conditions.

Q10. Can cured adhesive be painted or sanded?

A10. Yes, once fully cured, it can be sanded smooth or even painted over, depending on the finish you need.

Q11. Is the adhesive waterproof or moisture-resistant after curing?

A11. Yes, the cured adhesive forms a strong, water-resistant bond, suitable for use in kitchens, interiors, and semi-humid zones.

Q12. How is MR. JO Tecbond – NSF different from MR. JO Tecbond – NS?

A12. Both adhesives share the same non-sag, drip-free formula and surface compatibility, but MR. JO Tecbond – NS offers a longer pot life (60–70 minutes), making it ideal for projects that require more adjustment time or bonding larger panels.
