Description
Mr. JO Tecbond-GS is a two part all in one epoxy adhesive you can use for multipurpose uses. It easily bonds most commonly used materials like plastic, metal, and ceramic. Moreover, its thick and solvent-free formula makes it both strong and long-lasting. As a result, it resists damage from chemicals, which makes it even more dependable. For this reason, craftsmen often choose it for bonding, building, fixing, and other tough jobs in industry.
- Color: Pale yellow
- Pot life @25°C: 60-70 mins
- Mixing Ratio: 100:80 PBW
- Mixture consistency: Clear thick liquid
- Optics: Clear/Translucent
- Brake lining to break shoe
- Electrical insulation
- Bonding various automobile parts
- Sports good manufacturing
- The mixture should be applied on a clean, rough and dry surface.
- This should be achieved by suitable mechanical and chemical means such as sandblasting Wire brushing or chemical etching.
- Suitable degreasing agent should be used to remove any grease, or oil traces on the surface
- Use Part A & Part B in ratio 100:80 pbw.Mix the two components in small batches thoroughly for at least 2minutes. Apply the mix directly or using proper spatula to the pretreated surfaces.
- The joint components should be assembled as soon as the adhesive has been applied.
- Allow the material to cure for at least 24 hours before putting to use.
A1. It’s a general-purpose epoxy adhesive suitable for bonding metal, ceramics, wood, plastics, and composites. It’s ideal for automotive, handicrafts, potting, repairs, and small component assembly
Q2. How is MR. JO Tecbond – GS different from MR. JO Tecbond – UP?A2. Both are multi-purpose adhesives, but:
- GS has a clearer resin and a shorter pot life (60–70 mins), making it better suited for fast assembly tasks
- UP has a hazy resin and longer working time (80–100 mins), ideal for larger components or slower assembly
A3.Yes, it is comparable to widely used general-purpose epoxy systems used across industrial, craft, and repair sectors. It serves as a trusted alternative for standard 2K epoxy users looking for strength, ease of use, and clarity.
Q4. What materials can it bond?A4. Suitable for:
- Metal to metal, metal to plastic
- Wood and composites
- Stone, ceramics, glass
- Ideal for automobile parts, brake shoe lining, handicrafts, and electronic potting
A5. Around 60–70 minutes at 25°C, making it a fast-curing option for quick-turn applications.
Q6. What is the mixing ratio?A6. Mix 100 parts resin to 80 parts hardener by weight (100:80 PBW). Stir thoroughly until uniform.
Q7. Can it be used for potting or encapsulating small components?A7. Yes, MR. JO Tecbond-GS is viscous and clear, making it suitable for potting electrical or electronic parts with moderate insulation requirements.
Q8. What is the full curing time?A8. Initial set starts in 4–6 hours; full cure is achieved in 24 hours under normal conditions.
Q9. Can the cured adhesive withstand mechanical stress or vibrations?A9. Yes. Once fully cured, it offers strong mechanical bonding and tolerates moderate dynamic loads and thermal expansion.
Q10. Can it be used in high-temperature areas?A10. It performs well up to 60–70°C. For higher thermal resistance, explore other grades like MR. JO Tecbond-HC.
Q11. Is it sandable or paintable after cure?A11. Yes, after full cure, it can be sanded smooth, machined, or painted as required.
