Q1. What is MR. JO Tecseal-AWF used for?

A1. AWF is used to repair and fill defects on darker or reddish-brown woods, such as:

  • Rosewood, sheesham, and mahogany
  • Carved wooden panels
  • Antique furniture restoration
Q2. How is MR. JO Tecseal-AWF different from MR. JO Tecseal-WFN and WF?\

A2.

  • WFN = light beige
  • WF = mid brown
  • AWF = amber/burnt wood tone for darker woods
Q3. Why do artisans prefer MR. JO Tecseal-AWF?

A3. Because it blends easily into rich-toned wood, doesn’t require sanding before coloring, and saves time on shade-matching.

Q4. Can MR. JO Tecseal-AWF be used on carvings or curved surfaces?

A4. Yes. It’s trowelable and shapeable, excellent for detailed surface repairs.

Q5. Will it accept wood polish or PU coating after sanding?

A5. Yes. It bonds well with standard finishing materials post-curing.

Q6. Can I reduce its viscosity for thinner applications?

A6. You can slightly modify it by mixing with resin from MR. JO Tecbond-AWF, but it’s optimized as a paste.

Q7. Will MR. JO Tecseal-AWF affect visible grain patterns?

A7. It will not match grain, but fills knots, cracks, and defects cleanly to restore continuity.

Q8. What is the setting time for MR. JO Tecseal-AWF?

A8.

  • Pot life: ~35 minutes
  • Set time: 2–3 hours
  • Full cure: ~24 hours
Q9. Is it suitable for DIY users too?

A9. Yes — no filler or pigment mixing needed. Just mix 100:80 and apply.

Q10. After sanding, the filled area looks slightly whitish. Is this a defect?

A10. No — this is normal for epoxy-based wood fillers. When sanded, the surface may appear slightly chalky or whitish, especially with lighter colors like AWF. However, once you apply a clear lacquer, wood polish, wax, or any transparent coating, the original wood-tone color of the filler is fully restored, and it blends beautifully with the surrounding wood.
