Description
JPOXY JX 7009 is a liquid that helps epoxy cure faster. It works best with polyamine hardeners. However, you can use it with other types too. It makes surfaces stronger and saves time during work. Because of this, it suits both small and large epoxy projects.
- EEW [g/eq] : 580-635
- Viscosity [mPa s] @ 25˚C : 150-300

- Density @ 25˚C [g/cc] : 0.95 – 1.00
- To increase reactivity of Anhydrides
- Polyamides
- Amines hardeners
- Tertiary amine accelerator
A1. JX 7009 is a tertiary amine accelerator used to speed up the cure of epoxy systems. It is especially effective with:
- Polyamide hardeners
- Polyamine and aliphatic amine hardeners
- Anhydride curing agents
A2. As a catalytic accelerator, it enhances the rate of epoxy-hardener crosslinking, especially under low-temperature or fast-cure conditions. It reduces gel time and improves early strength development.
Q3. How much should I add?A3. Typical dosage:
- 0.2% to 5% by weight of the total formulation
- Always evaluate on a lab scale first; higher doses can reduce pot life significantly or impact color.
A4.
- Faster cure at room or low temperature
- Improved productivity and turnaround time
- Early development of mechanical and adhesive properties
- Useful in cold climates or fast-bonding applications
A5. JX 7009 is a DMP-30 equivalent, offering similar performance in reactivity and dosage. It is used widely as a standard tertiary amine accelerator across epoxy industries.
Q6. What types of applications benefit most from JX 7009?A6.
- Fast-setting adhesives
- Epoxy flooring & grouting
- Cold weather installations
- Tooling and casting resins requiring quick demolding
- Anhydride-cured electrical insulations
A7. Used within optimal dosage, it does not significantly impact final strength or chemical resistance. Overdosage may increase yellowing or reduce working time.
