Description
JPOXY JX 7078 is a clear liquid that speeds up epoxy curing. It is best for use with polyetheramine hardeners. Still, it works with many others as well. It helps create even, strong finishes. As a result, it is ideal for both general and special epoxy jobs.
- EEW [g/eq] : 520-610
- Viscosity [mPa s] @ 25˚C : 800-1,000
- Color [Gardner] : ≤1
- Density @ 25˚C [g/cc] : 0.95 – 1.1
- To increase reactivity of slow curing amines hardeners
- Tertiary amine accelerator
- Low color
A1. JX 7078 is a tertiary amine-based accelerator designed to speed up the curing of epoxy systems. It offers a low color profile, making it especially suitable for clear or light-toned formulations where appearance is critical.
Q2. What makes JX 7078 unique?A2. Unlike conventional accelerators, JX 7078 combines:
- High reactivity
- Exceptional clarity (Gardner ≤1)
- Low odor
- Versatile compatibility across resin-hardener systems
This makes it ideal for both decorative and industrial applications.
Q3. What systems is it compatible with?A3. JX 7078 can be used with a wide range of epoxy hardeners, including:
- Polyetheramines
- Polyamides
- Aliphatic and cycloaliphatic amines
- Anhydride systems
A4. Recommended dosage: 0.3% to 3.0% by weight of the total formulation. Adjust based on the desired pot life and cure profile.
Q5. What benefits does it provide?A5.
- Faster curing, especially under low temperature or high humidity
- Improved early hardness and handling strength
- Low color development, ideal for aesthetic finishes
- Smooth, uniform surface appearance
A6. It is suitable for:
- Clear and pigmented casting systems
- Epoxy floorings and mortars
- Quick-set adhesives
- Potting and encapsulation
- DIY art and industrial coatings
A7. At recommended levels, JX 7078 helps:
- Maintain mechanical integrity
- Boost early performance
- Avoid yellowing or haze that may occur with other accelerators
