Description
Jpoxy JH 1424 is a clear, thick hardener. It does not contain any solvent. You can use it for topcoats and primer applications. Also, the polyamide base helps the coating stick well and stay strong. Additionally, it protects surfaces from wear, rust, and damage.
- EEW [g/eq] : 210-240
- Viscosity [mPa s] @ 40˚C :45,000-60,00

- Marine coatings
- High viscosity polyamide hardener
- High flexibility and long pot life
A1. JH 1424 is a polyamide-based curing agent used in epoxy paints, primers, and corrosion-resistant coatings. It has high viscosity and is designed for strong adhesion, chemical resistance, and durability, especially in marine and industrial environments.
Q2. What makes it different from other hardeners?A2. Unlike polyamines, polyamides offer:
- Excellent adhesion to metal and damp surfaces
- Good flexibility and toughness
- Superior corrosion resistance
- Longer pot life and better open time
A3.
- Industrial paints & primers
- Anti-corrosive marine coatings
- Adhesives for construction and repairs
- Protective coatings for steel structures, pipelines, and tanks
A4. JH 1424 is compatible with liquid unmodified Bisphenol A (BPA) resins, especially:
- JR 3010 (EEW ~188)
- JR 3012 or JR 3016 for high solids coatings
- JR 3390 (BPF resin) for improved chemical resistance
A5. For a resin with EEW ~190, the recommended dosage of JH 1424 is typically around 55–65 phr, but the exact ratio should be verified with lab testing depending on application thickness, desired working time, and environment.
Q6. Can it be used in humid or marine conditions?A6. Yes, JH 1424 is ideal for high-humidity and marine applications due to its moisture tolerance and corrosion resistance. It's commonly used in shipbuilding, offshore structures, and coastal equipment.
Q7. How is JH 1424 stored and handled?A7.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
- Keep the container tightly sealed
- Use gloves and protective gear when handling
- Clean tools with appropriate solvents before the system cures
A8. When stored properly, JH 1424 has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture.
Q9. Is JH 1424 solvent-free?A9. Yes, it is solvent-free, but due to its high viscosity, thinning may be needed for spray applications using compatible epoxy-grade diluents (consult your technical support for guidance).
Q10. What are similar products in the market?A10 JH 1424 is equivalent to Cyramid 115 and other reactive polyamide curing agents used in high-performance protective coating systems.
