Description
Mr. JO Marblefill is a clear glue that flows very easily. First, it comes in two parts that you mix together. Then, you can use it to fix cracks and coat big marble or stone slabs. Also, it works well because it does not have any harmful solvents. So, it helps keep marble and stone strong and smooth
- Color: Clear
- Pot life @25°C: 70-90 mins
- Mixing Ratio: 100:10 PBW
- Mixture consistency: Very Low viscosity liquid
- Coverage: Transparent
- Creak filing
- Repairing
- The mixture should be applied on a clean, rough and dry surface. For good results, it is required that the marble surface is clean, and dry. This should be achieved by suitable mechanical means such as sandblasting or wire brushing.
- Use Part A & Part B in ratio 100:10 pbw. Mix the two components in small batches thoroughly for at least 2minutes. Apply the mix directly or using proper spatula to the pretreated surfaces.
- The mixture should be applied as soon as the homogenous mix is achieved.
- Allow the material to cure for at least 24 hours before putting to use.
A1. MR. JO Marblefill is a clear, two-component epoxy system with very low viscosity, used for filling cracks and pores in marble, granite, and natural stones. It's ideal for stone processors, marble slab polishers, and repair technicians.
Q2. What are the key benefits of using MR. JO Marblefill?A2.
- Ultra-low viscosity – easily penetrates hairline cracks
- Clear and solvent-free – retains natural stone appearance
- Long pot life – easy to handle for larger surface areas
- Strong adhesion and mechanical strength after curing
A3. No. MR. JO Marblefill is transparent and specially designed to maintain the natural look of the stone. It may slightly enhance gloss during polishing.
Q4. What pack sizes is it available in?A4. It is available in convenient kits for both manual and bulk slab repairs. Visit the product page for current packaging and pricing.
Q5. What is the correct mixing ratio?A5. Mix 100 parts Resin : 10 parts Hardener by weight (PBW). Ensure accurate weighing for best performance.
Q6. How do I apply MR. JO Marblefill?A6.
- Mix thoroughly for 2–3 minutes until uniform
- Pour or spread on the stone surface
- Let it penetrate cracks and voids
- Allow curing before polishing or further processing
A7. At 25°C, the pot life is 70–90 minutes, giving sufficient time for application. In warmer conditions, the pot life may reduce.
Q8. Can it be used on vertical surfaces?A8. It is best suited for horizontal surfaces. For vertical applications, a gel version or thickened variant may be better suited.
Q9. How long does it take to cure?A9. Initial set occurs in 6–8 hours, and full strength is achieved in 24–36 hours depending on temperature.
Q10. Can I color it?A10. While it’s designed to be clear, compatible epoxy pigments can be added if colored crack filling is desired.
Q11. The epoxy is not curing – what could be wrong?A11.
- Incorrect ratio: Ensure strict 100:10 PBW mix
- Poor mixing: Incomplete blending leads to uncured patches
- Low temperature: Cure slows down below 20°C
A12.
- High ambient temperature (>30°C)
- Large batch size – mix smaller quantities to control reaction time
A13.
- Stir gently to avoid air entrapment
- Pour slowly
- For deep cracks, pre-warming the stone can help improve flow and degassing
A14. Clean tools and surfaces immediately using epoxy thinner or IPA. Once cured, mechanical removal is required.
Q15. The surface turned slightly yellow – is that normal?A15. Slight ambering is natural over time or with UV exposure. For UV-sensitive surfaces, consider a UV-stable topcoat.
