Description
Jpoxy JH 8347A is a special liquid that helps make epoxy surfaces strong and shiny. It works best when used with Jpoxy JR 3013 or Jpoxy JR 3000. This hardener dries fast, looks clear, and leaves no bubbles. It also protects the surface from damage by chemicals. Because of its low color, the final finish looks clean and smooth.

- Good chemical resistance
A1. JH 8347A is a modified cycloaliphatic amine curing agent designed for:
- Primers
- Topcoats
- Flooring systems
- Mortar & screed formulations It offers strong adhesion, a clean finish, and superior resistance to chemicals and yellowing.
A2. It is functionally equivalent to TH7301 (Aditya Birla) and Lapox AH416, offering:
- Low yellowing on exposure to light
- Balanced reactivity for flooring and coating applications
- Good pot life and early strength
- Moisture and blush resistance
A3. Its low color index (Gardner ≤1) and cycloaliphatic base reduce the risk of yellowing, making it ideal for light-shade pigmented coatings and decorative floors.
Q4. Can it be used in high-performance flooring?A4. Yes, it is highly suited for industrial epoxy floors, especially where chemical resistance, fast turnover, and visual appeal are required.
Q5. Is JH 8347A suitable for epoxy mortars?A5. Absolutely. Its low viscosity and strong bonding properties make it compatible with high filler loading, allowing it to work well in trowelable or flowable epoxy mortars.
Q6. What epoxy resins can be used with this hardener?A6. It pairs well with resins like Jpoxy JR 3013, JR 3016, or JR 3000. Match the resin EEW (190–200) with the hardener’s AHEW (~270) for a typical mix ratio of 100:60 by weight.
Q7. What kind of chemical resistance does it offer?A7. JH 8347A resists many industrial chemicals including:
- Dilute acids and alkalis
- Solvents and alcohols
- Cleaning agents and fuels
A8. While it has low yellowing tendency, it is still an amine-based system, so some discoloration over time is possible. For prolonged UV exposure, a UV-stable topcoat is recommended.
Q9. What is its curing profile?A9.
- Pot life: Moderate (adjustable by formulation)
- Touch dry: ~6–8 hours @ 25°C
- Full cure: ~7 days for maximum chemical resistance
A10. Yes, it can be blended with other amine or adduct-type hardeners to tune reactivity, pot life, or appearance – common in customized flooring systems or 3-component mixes.
