Description
Jpoxy JH 8357 is a clear, low-viscosity liquid. It works well with Jpoxy JR 3013 and JR 3000. Together, they create a smooth, bubble-free surface. Moreover, the finish looks shiny and glossy. Because the liquid has very low color, it keeps the surface clear. As a result, it is perfect for clean, strong coatings.
- EEW [g/eq] : 450-500
- Viscosity [mPa s] @ 25˚C : 350-150

A1. JH 8357 is a modified polyamine curing agent ideal for:
- Clear and pigmented epoxy coatings
- Civil engineering applications
- Decorative or industrial flooring systems It is designed to deliver a smooth, glossy, and bubble-free finish.
A2. Like TH7309 (Aditya Birla), JH 8357 offers:
- Very low color for clear/topcoat use
- Low yellowing tendency
- Excellent film clarity
- Moisture and blush resistance
- Balanced reactivity for coatings and toppings
A3. Yes, absolutely. Its low color (Gardner ≤2) and controlled reactivity make it ideal for crystal-clear finishes, including clear self-leveling and art resin-like systems.
Q4. 4. Which epoxy resins are compatible with JH 8357?A4. It works best with Jpoxy JR 3013, JR 3016, or JR 3000 – all are low-viscosity, light-color resins that complement its performance.
Q5. What is the recommended mixing ratio?A5. For typical systems, a 100:40 to 100:45 mix ratio by weight (resin: hardener) is ideal, based on EEW of ~190–200 and AHEW of ~470.
Q6. Does it resist yellowing over time?A6. JH 8357 has low yellowing tendency, but being an amine-curing agent, some discoloration may occur under UV exposure. Use a UV-resistant topcoat if color retention is critical.
Q7. Is this suitable for high-gloss floors and topcoats?A7. Yes. It cures into a glossy, defect-free surface and has good leveling, making it excellent for topcoats, overlays, or high-clarity systems.
Q8. How fast does it cure?A8.
- Touch dry: ~6–8 hours @ 25°C
- Walkable: ~18–24 hours
- Full cure: ~5–7 days for chemical resistance
A9. Yes, you can blend it with faster or slower curing agents to fine-tune pot life, cure speed, or hardness, especially in multipurpose flooring formulations.
Q10. Is it suitable for damp or humid conditions?A10. Yes. JH 8357 is moisture-tolerant and blush-resistant, making it suitable for Indian site conditions, even in humid or rainy seasons.
